Design-Com Technologies Warranty Procedure.

At Design-com Technologies, we issue 2 different types of Return Material Authorisation Numbers (RMA Number) these ara Credit RMA and Service/Repair RMA.

Our Products will not be covered under warranty due to misuse or mis-abuse. Permanent damage will occur if input voltages exceed the maximum levels specified. HANDLE WITH CARE- CMOS protection required.

The different RMA forms are as follows : -
Credit Request Form - This form is only used if goods are returned in resaleable condition.
Service/Repair Request Form - This form is used for goods to be fixed or replaced under Warranty. Please read Service RMA Terms and conditions*.

Return Authorisation Procedure
In order for Design-com Technologies to improve the efficiency of issuing an RMA number promptly, your cooperation in completing all the details required on the form is necessary and appreciated.

All goods returned to Design-com Technologies must have an RMA Number printed clearly and visible outside the box.
All goods returned without a valid RMA Number will be rejected and returned to sender.
All credit RMA Numbers are valid for 5 working days from date of issue.
All service RMA Numbers are valid for a period of two (2) weeks from date of issue, any expired RMA Numbers will necessitate reapplying for a new RMA Number.
All goods returned for warranty must have a specific fault description (the following descriptions are not acceptable FAULTY, NOT WORKING or DOA).

For Registered Dealers - The following freight charges for return and delivery of RMA items will apply:
1. Delivery to Design-com Technologies- at customers expense
2. Return to Customer - at Design-com Technologies expense*

The issuance of an RMA Number does NOT constitute a guarantee of acceptance by Design-Com Technologies. Design-Com Technologies reserves the right to reject any RMA item if the condition of the goods received is deemed by Design-Com Technologies to be unacceptable. Rejection of goods (including DOA items) may apply to items returned in poor physical condition, damaged, or with missing accessories.

Warranty Terms and Conditions

1. In this warranty
(a) ‘Design-Com Technologies’ means Design-Com Technologies Pty Ltd ABN 31 091 941 838 in respect of Products purchased in Australia;
(b) ‘Product’ means any Design-Com Technologies product purchased by you accompanied by this document;
(c) ‘Warranty Period’ means where you use the Product for the period of ‘36’months.

2. Design-com Technologies warrants that, when dispatched from a Design-Com Technologies warehouse, the Product is free from defects in materials and workmanship for the Warranty Period.

3. During the Warranty Period Design-Com Technologies will, at no extra charge, and subject to these terms and conditions, repair or replace any parts which it considers to be defective.

4. Service repair parts not supplied by Design-Com Technologies are not covered by this warranty.

5. Proof of purchase is required before you can make a claim under this warranty.

6. You may not make a claim under this warranty unless the defect claimed is due to faulty or defective parts or workmanship. Design-Com Technologies is not liable in the following situations (which are not exhaustive):
(a) The Product is damaged by:
(i) Accident
(ii) Misuse or abuse, including failure to properly maintain or service
(iii) Normal wear and tear
(iv) Power surges, sags, electrical storm damage or incorrect power supply
(v) Incomplete or improper installation
(vi) Incorrect, improper or inappropriate operation

(b) The Product is modified without authority from Design-Com Technologies in writing.

(c) The Products serial number or warranty seal has been removed or defaced.

(d) The Product was serviced or repaired by anyone other than Design-Com Technologies or its Authorized Service Personnel.

7. This warranty, the contract to which it relates and the relationship between you and Design-Com Technologies are governed by the law applicable in the Australian State where the product was manufactured (Victoria).

Extended Warranty

8. Extended Warranty is a service offered by Design-Com Technologies at the time of purchasing, that extends the Warranty Period on Design-Com manufactured products.

9. The Extended Warranty Period of Cover is dependant on which option is purchased (2, 3, 4 or 5 years) and commences from the Original Date of Purchase.

10. The Extended Warranty Period of Cover includes the 18 Month Manufacturing Warranty Period.

Limitation of Liability

11. To the extent permitted by law:
(a) Design-Com technologies exclude all warranties other than as contained in this document;
(b) Design-Com technologies shall not be liable for any loss or damage whether direct or indirect or consequential arising from your purchase, use or non-use of the Product.

12. Provisions of the Trade Practices Act and State Consumer Legislation in Australia imply warranties or conditions, or impose obligations, upon Design-Com Technologies which cannot be excluded, restricted or modified. To the extent permitted by law, the liability of Design-Com Technologies (if any) arising out of or in relation to the Product or any services supplied by Design-Com Technologies shall be limited (where it is fair and reasonable to do so):

(a) in the case of Product, at its option, to the replacement or repair of the Product or the supply of equivalent products or the payment of the cost of replacing the Product or having the Product repaired or of acquiring equivalent Product. Upon being replaced, parts and Product become the property of Design-Com Technologies.

13. Subject to these conditions, Design-Com Technologies offers all returns and repairs with a back to base warranty.

You acknowledge that in the event that you make a warranty claim, it will be necessary for Design-Com Technologies and its Authorized Agents to exchange information in relation to you.
